MARLBORO COUNTY, S.C. (WPDE) — The Marlboro County Sheriff’s Office seized almost 40 pounds of suspected marijuana in a drug bust in the Wallace area on Thursday.

According to a release, investigators were informed of an illegal drug shipment being delivered to a home on Pleasant Hill Road last week.

While investigating they executed a search warrant for the premises and arrested Ladonnsa Shakia Ford, 32, of Wallace.

During the search, investigators found marijuana, two handguns and a K10 450cc dirt bike that was reported stolen from Dillon County in 2021.

Ford is charged with with trafficking marijuana more than 10lbs less than 100lbs, criminal conspiracy and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime.

She received a $65,000 surety bond with GPS during her bond hearing on Friday.

Officials said another arrest is expected in this case.

The Florence County Sheriff’s Office Investigation Division assisted in the case.
