COLUMBUS COUNTY, N.C. (WECT) – The Columbus County Sheriff’s Office on Aug. 13 seized drugs and made an arrest after a vehicle stop on U.S. 74-76, according to the CCSO.

“During the operation, Detectives initiated a vehicle stop and, after developing probable cause, conducted a search of the vehicle. The search led to the discovery of approximately nine ounces of mushrooms and approximately four pounds of marijuana and marijuana extract,” a CCSO announcement states.

The driver, Randy Dakota Jacobs from Maxton, was arrested and charged with:

Possession with intent to sell/deliver marijuanaMaintaining a vehicle for the sale of a controlled substanceTrafficking in Schedule I controlled substancePossession of drug paraphernaliaFailure to wear a seat belt

He was placed under a $125,000 secured bond at the county jail.
