TODD CO., Ky. (WFIE) – Five people were arrested and charged in an ongoing investigation into criminal activity happening in Todd County, Kentucky.
The Pennyrile Narcotics Task Force in Greenville worked alongside the Todd County Sheriff’s Office and the Muhlenberg County Sheriff’s Office throughout the case.
On August 10th and 11th, five people were arrested during the investigation, four of which are residents of Elkton, Kentucky.
Authorities say officers seized more than 40 pounds of marijuana, over 25 guns, a large sum of cash, a large amount of suspected illegal mushrooms, and THC items such as vape canisters.
The arrests include:
Caleb Bell, 24, of Elkton, was charged with trafficking in marijuana, trafficking in a controlled substance, two counts of possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, two counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, cultivating marijuana and engaging in organized crime. Giovanni Capozzi, 21, of Fresno, California, was charged with trafficking in marijuana and engaging in organized crime. Maggie Cockrell, 20, of Elkton, was charged with trafficking in marijuana, trafficking in a controlled substance, cultivating marijuana and engaging in organized crime. Patricia Bell, 68, of Elkton, was charged with making a false statement as to full consideration in property deed.Tharesa “Madison” Mosley, 22, of Elkton, was charged with trafficking in marijuana, drug paraphernalia buy/possess and engaging in organized crime.
The Pennyrile Narcotics Task Force and multiple other agencies spanning multiple states are still investigating. Authorities say more charges and arrests are expected as the case continues.
