THREE men have been charged after drugs valued at almost £2 million were discovered in Irvine town centre.
As the Times reported earlier this week, a cannabis cultivation was found inside the former Brighthouse store in Bridgegate on Wednesday afternoon, September 25.
Officers have now revealed that the drugs farm has an estimated street value of between £1.2m and £1.8m.
Three men, aged 38, 30 and 29, were arrested and charged in connection with the find and were due to appear at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court on Friday, September 27.
Police previously confirmed to the Times that officers raided the disused premises at around 12.30pm on Wednesday.
