URBANA — A 14-year-old male has been arrested after a student fell ill from consuming cannabis edibles on Urbana school district property.
The 14-year-old faces charges for delivery of cannabis and possession with intent to deliver more than 500 grams of cannabis-infused edibles.
The suspect was identified and apprehended after an investigation by a school resource officer and district officials.
The 14-year-old was apprehended and taken to the Champaign County Juvenile Detention Center, where he is being held pending future court proceedings.
