The Nebraska Legislature rejected Gov. Jim Pillen’s vetoes on budget because they were submitted too late, according to state law.

The fate of medical marijuana is in question, especially since the governor’s appointees to a commission to regulate it have repeatedly shared their opposition to even the idea of the drug.

He said it’s necessary to address Medicaid.
