A central Iowa man says he found a large bag of marijuana while shopping at a Clive discount store.
Robert Sinclair reached out to KCCI Friday morning about what he said was a “pretty wild incident.” He was looking through bins at Where Ya Bin when he opened a USPS box, in which there was a bag that contained suspected marijuana.
“It was wild,” he said. “(My) face was hit instantly of odor when I opened the black bag.”
The Clive Police Department is investigating the discovery. Authorities confirmed to KCCI that it was a pound of marijuana that Sinclair found at the store, located at 8747 University Ave., in the former Toys “R” Us building. They have not provided any further information.
Where Ya Bin officials declined to comment when reached by KCCI.
