Three men face charges after more than $4 million in illegal cannabis plants, clones and processed cannabis bud was seized in Bobcaygeon on Wednesday.

Ontario Provincial Police say officers responded to a location in Bobcaygeon following a referral from Health Canada regarding cannabis allegedly being grown in contravention of the issued registrations.

Investigators located and seized approximately 3,750 illegal cannabis plants, 12,500 cannabis clones and approximately 430 pounds of dried, processed cannabis.

As a result of the investigation, three suspects were identified and arrested.
Xiao Dong, 50, of Markham, Qiaoli Guan, 49, of Calgary, and Mei Huang, 55, of Markham, are charged with cultivating cannabis without authorization.
The investigation is ongoing.

Toronto Police allege items were posted for sale on social media platforms between April and June 2025 by someone using the names Yoon Ji Hoon, Jin Takashi, and Ki Dong Wu.
A man allegedly met up with sellers and potential buyers throughout the GTA and then robbed them of their property.
Investigators subsequently identified a Toronto man as a suspect.
Rayman Zhen is wanted for 12 offences, including administering noxious thing with intent and possession of a weapon.
Police say they are concerned about the possibility of other alleged victims.

A 34-year-old man is sought for an assault that allegedly occurred in the Beaches on Wednesday.

Toronto Police say officers responded to an assault call where someone allegedly threatened to damage property in the area of Balsam Ave. and Queen St. E. around 8:30 p.m.
Investigators subsequently identified a suspect.
Brian Neil William Gillis, 34, of Toronto, is wanted for assault, uttering threats and property damage, and assault and harassment by repeated communication with person.
He’s described as six-feet-tall, with a medium build and black curly black hair

The hunt is on for a gunman and his getaway driver after an attempted home invasion in Markham on Wednesday.

York Regional Police say officers responded to a residence in the area of Green Ln. and Willowbrook Rd. – near Bayview Ave. and John St. – around 6:45 p.m. after someone rang the doorbell and then threatened the home’s occupant with a firearm.
Nothing was taken from the residence and the gunman fled to an awaiting blue sedan operated by a second person.
No injuries were reported.

The gunman is described as about 5-foot-8, with medium-to-dark skin and a slender build. He was wearing a grey hooded sweater, blue gardening gloves and a black face covering.
There is no suspect description available for the getaway driver.
