SHELDON—A 35-year-old Archer man was arrested about 3:35 p.m. Sunday, June 15, in Sheldon on charges of first-offense operating while under the influence and possession of a controlled substance — marijuana — third or subsequent offense.
The arrest of Wesley Robert Lloyd stemmed from the stop of a 2007 Jeep Patriot for an equipment violation on Ninth Street near Washington Avenue in Sheldon, according to the Sheldon Police Department.
Lloyd had bloodshot/watery eyes, droopy eyelids, body tremors and impaired balance.
He could not follow instruction and failed field sobriety tests.
Lloyd admitted to using THC that day and having some in his vehicle, according to the incident report.
THC wax was found in a container during a consent search of the vehicle.
