A 51-year-old man was arrested after the Arkansas State Police searched his tractor-trailer and found over 1,100 pounds of illegal marijuana.

OZARK, Ark — The Arkansas State Police (ASP) seized over 1,100 pounds of illegal marijuana in an Interstate 40 traffic stop on Saturday, May 10. 

At approximately 10 a.m., ASP troopers searched a trailer near the 30-mile marker near Ozark where they found three pallets.

Officials said the pallets contained 49 boxes of illegal marijuana, with a total weight of 1,135 lbs. 

The driver of the trailer was identified as 51-year-old Kok Tse of Brooklyn, New York.

Tse was arrested and transported to the Franklin County Detention Center. He was charged with trafficking of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
