Troopers arrested a New York man after reportedly seizing 1,135 pounds of illegal marijuana in a Franklin County traffic stop.

OZARK, Ark. — Troopers seized around 1,135 pounds of illegal marijuana and arrested a New York man during a traffic stop in Franklin County on May 10, according to the Arkansas State Police (ASP). 

At around 10 a.m. on Saturday, ASP said troopers stopped the driver of a tractor-trailer for a traffic violation on Interstate 40 near the 30-mile marker near Ozark.

After searching the trailer, troopers reportedly discovered three pallets containing 49 boxes of illegal marijuana. 

The driver, who was identified as 51-year-old Kok Tse, was transported to the Franklin County Detention Center and faces felony charges of trafficking a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
