BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) – A Bowling Green man is behind bars after receiving pounds of marijuana from another state.
Detectives with the Bowling Green – Warren County Drug Task Force developed information that 26-year-old Devonte Barber was receiving a parcel weighing 32 pounds containing multiple bundles of high-grade marijuana coming from California.
Following an investigation and surveillance by DTF detectives, they executed a search warrant at 1421 Lynhurst Drive in Bowling Green with help from the Kentucky State Police Interdiction Team.
In addition to the 32-pound parcel of marijuana, detectives seized 2.5 pounds of high-grade marijuana, a 9MM Glock Handgun, and $590.00 in cash from the accused’s residence.

Barber was charged with the following:
Trafficking in Marijuana over 5 Pounds, Class B felony (Gun Enhancement)Trafficking in Marijuana over 8 oz. to 5 Pounds, Class D felony (Gun Enhancement)Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Class A Misdemeanor
He was lodged in the Warren County Regional Jail pending arraignment in Warren District Court.
This investigation will be presented to the Warren County Commonwealth Attorney for Grand Jury presentation.
