The Broomfield City Council is expected to discuss two ordinances Tuesday related to marijuana.
The ordinances come before the council on second readings, and if approved, will affect marijuana establishments.
The first ordinance seeks to make permanent the prohibition of marijuana cultivation and product manufacturing in Broomfield. The existing prohibition expired on April 1.
The ordinance would update the zoning code to make clear that retail marijuana stores are permitted in Broomfield, subject to licensing regulations.
The second ordinance is a proposed change to the Marijuana Licensing Code to allow the sale of non-marijuana infused pre-packaged foods and beverages at retail marijuana establishments.
The meeting will take place at 6 p.m. Tuesday in the George Di Ciero City and County Building, 1 Descombes Drive. The public is welcome to attend in person or virtually at broomfield.org/live.
