JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (CBS12) — Officials seized over 98,000 potentially lethal fentanyl doses, along with ten firearms, cocaine, marijuana, and cash from two Jacksonville men after they were allegedly seen in a drug deal.

Detectives from the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office (JSO) Community Problem Response (CPR) Unit were following up on an investigation when they spotted suspicious activity at a home on Spearing Street.

According to the report, they saw people loading items into a car, leading them to believe they were involved in a drug deal.

Detectives reported that they stopped the car and found:

78 grams of fentanyl, enough for approximately 39,000 potentially deadly doses25 grams of cocaine40 grams of marijuana

This initial traffic stop led detectives to secure a search warrant for the residence, which resulted in the discovery of:

119 grams of fentanyl, translating to over 59,000 potentially lethal doses25 grams of cocaine23.5 grams of marijuana10 firearms$7,000 in cash

JSO said that the investigation resulted in the arrest of Jaaon McGhee, 25, and Lorenzo Dukes, 24, who now face multiple felony charges related to drug and firearm possession.
