OKLAHOMA CITY (KSWO) – Thousands of marijuana plants were seized in a drug bust.

Announced by Attorney General Gentner Drummond, the illegal grow operation took place in Mayes and Craig counties.

Drummond’s Organized Crime Task Force led the operation on June 24.

The bust resulted in over 40,000 marijuana plants and more than 1,000 pounds of processed marijuana being removed.

Authorities also found six handguns and three silencers.

A 35-year-old man is facing charges for manufacturing, trafficking of a controlled dangerous substance, and possession of a firearm.

Also, 15 people working at the facility were detained for deportation.
