Three people have been charged and remanded in custody after police discovered cannabis plants worth £595,000 in a vacant building in Carmarthenshire. Dyfed-Powys Police confirmed they carried out a warrant at a disused tyre centre in Johnstown in Carmarthen on Wednesday, March 26.

The force said they discovered 566 cannabis plants, with an estimated worth of up to £595,000. The force added that officers from the Carmarthenshire proactive policing team arrested three men. Stay informed on Carms news by signing up to our newsletter here.

Atnant Kuka, Edison Kuka and Bobo Orgest have been charged with the production of cannabis and have been remanded in custody, the force confirmed. The operation was part of Operation Scotney, Dyfed-Powys Police’s initiative against large-scale cannabis factories established across the region by organised crime gangs.
