FRESNO, Calif. (FOX26) — Two men were arrested for having an illegal indoor cannabis cultivation site on the outskirts of Firebaugh last Wednesday, police say.

In a combined effort by the Firebaugh Police Department and the Fresno County Sheriff’s Department, a search warrant was obtained for a building in the 35600 block of West Gettysburg in Las Deltas.

Authorities uncovered 1,376 marijuana plants being grown with advanced irrigation, filtration, and LED lighting systems.

The estimated street value of the operation exceeds one million dollars.

Two individuals were arrested and are facing multiple felony charges, including possession of an assault rifle by convicted felons, cultivation of cannabis using banned chemicals, growing cannabis for sale, and theft of utilities worth thousands of dollars, police say.

Firebaugh Police Department said, “Illegal cannabis cultivation like this not only attracts organized crime but also poses a serious threat to our environment.”
