LAFAYETTE, La. (NEWS 15) — Three men were arrested in a Lafayette drug bust that resulted in the seizure of more than $175,000 worth of marijuana, three guns, and more than $125,000 worth of drugs.

Justin Thibodeaux, 29, of Lafayette, is charged with possession with intent to distribute Schedule I, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of a firearm in the presence of a controlled dangerous substance, and monies derived from drug proceeds. His bond is set at $652,000.

Jaylin Brown, 27, of Breaux Bridge, is charged with possession with intent to distribute Schedule I, possession of a firearm in the presence of a controlled dangerous substance, and monies derived from drug proceeds. His bond is set at $400,000.

Bralon Collins, 28, also of Lafayette, is charged with possession with intent to distribute Schedule I. His photo and bond information were not available.

The Lafayette Police Department reported the operation unfolded after a traffic stop on Ridge Road and Rue Du Belier on Friday, May 9.

Authorities said the Narcotics Street Team discovered several pounds of marijuana and a handgun during the initial traffic stop. Further investigation led officers to a home on Lakepointe Drive, where more drugs, firearms, and cash were found during traffic stops on two vehicles leaving the location.

A search of the Lakepointe Drive home turned up an AR pistol, drug paraphernalia, and more drugs, according to investigators.
