LaGrange police have released the results of a two-day crime suppression detail.
The operation occurred on Monday, May 26, 2025, and Tuesday, May 27th, 2025, in identified crime hot spots.
Police say over the two days they made 65 traffic contacts, 13 field interviews, and 16 arrests.
Police say, on May 26th, they arrested one suspect for VGCSA powder cocaine, crack cocaine, possession of firearm by convicted felon, theft by receiving (stolen firearm), obstruction, and various traffic charges stemming from a traffic stop on Locust Street; another suspect was arrested for VGCSA marijuana after actively smoking marijuana in the parking lot of 804 Whitesville Street.
That same day, police arrested an entering auto suspect after officers located him on DeGroat Street following multiple calls. The subject had committed several entering autos in the Broad Street area. The subject was also found in possession of marijuana. Police made two additional VGCSA marijuana arrest during traffic stop on N. Cary Street and a traffic stop on Fendig Street. Police also made an arrest for an open container at 320 Commerce Avenue.
Police say, on May 27th, they made a DUI arrest on Revis Street, located 33 grams of marijuana seized during a traffic stop on Daniel Street with the suspect also being arrested for various traffic violations. That same day, a subject was charged with possession of oxycodone, possession of marijuana, felon in possession of firearm, and multiple traffic charges stemming from a traffic stop on Morgan Street.
Several other arrests were reported for miscellaneous traffic offenses and active warrants were also made.
