LAWTON, Okla. (KSWO) – The Lawton Police Department (LPD) seized over 80 lbs. of marijuana following a traffic stop on May 31.
According to LPD, Lieutenant Schwenk initiated a traffic stop after the suspect, identified as Eric Sanders, failed to stop at a red light.
Officials say a short pursuit ensued before Sanders came to a stop and was taken into custody without incident.
LPD says a subsequent search found over 80 lbs. of marijuana in the vehicle that was then seized by the department.
