Liberty Township trustees won’t allow businesses to grow or sell marijuana

Liberty Township trustees are doubling down on their decision to not allow businesses to grow or sell marijuana within the township.A resolution to prohibit all cannabis-related businesses – medical or recreational – was passed last week.Liberty Township previously put a temporary ban on marijuana in place, but the ban expired on May 4.With the decision, the closest marijuana dispensaries to Liberty Township are in Monroe.Nearby, Mason city council voted unanimously to adopt an ordinance that would ban the sale of marijuana within the city two months ago.
