HAMILTON COUNTY, Texas (KWTX) – Authorities in Hamilton County made numerous arrests and seized drugs, cash and a firearm following a multi-agency operation.

Hamilton County investigators received a tip June 1 about an individual with outstanding felony warrants who might have possessed narcotics and firearms, according to authorities.

The Department of Public Safety Gang Unit and deputies set up surveillance on a residence in the 500 block of FM 1241, authorities said.

The following day, authorities — along with the Erath County SWAT team — served the arrest warrant on the suspect, according to authorities.

During the operation, police said methamphetamine was found in plain sight.

According to authorities, seven adults were detained, and five were arrested on charges related to possession of a controlled substance.

After the arrest, investigators obtained a search warrant for the residence, where they found:

More than 59 grams of methamphetamine, packaged for distributionOne pound of marijuana, packaged for distributionA loaded firearmMore than $4,100 in cash

According to the DPS Gang Unit, three of the arrested individuals are confirmed gang members.

All individuals were booked into the Hamilton County Jail without incident, authorities said.

Names are being withheld at this time due to pending investigations.
