SHELDON—A 24-year-old Waite Park, MN, man was cited about 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 13, near Sheldon on charges of first-offense possession of a controlled substance — marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, speeding, no valid driver’s license, registration violation and failure to provide proof of vehicle liability insurance.
The citing of Abiral Singh of Waite Park, MN, stemmed from the stop of a southbound 2017 Chevrolet Silverado pickup clocked at more than 80 mph on the Highway 60 expressway near the Highway 18 intersection east of Sheldon, according to the Iowa State Patrol.
Singh was found in possession of a container of suspected marijuana, a box of suspected THC vape cartridges that were labeled as such and a glass marijuana pipe.
