JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. — The Missouri Division of Cannabis Regulation (DCR) has issued a product recall for a marijuana-infused edible candy product known as “Plume – Buzz Bites,” citing concerns that the product resembles non-marijuana candy and could pose a risk to children.

The recalled freeze-dried edible was produced by Nodaway Holdings LLC and sold to dispensaries across Missouri. According to DCR, the product’s design closely mirrors conventional candy, violating state rules intended to prevent accidental ingestion, particularly by minors.

No adverse health effects have been reported in connection with the recalled items.

Under Missouri rule 19 CSR 100-1.100(4)(P), public product recalls may be issued when a marijuana item presents a potential threat to health and safety. A full list of recalled products is available here.

Consumers in possession of this product may return it to the dispensary where it was purchased. Returned products will not count toward a patient’s purchase limit. Patients are advised to contact the dispensary directly for more information on returns.

The DCR urges patients and consumers to report any adverse reactions to marijuana products by emailing CannabisComplaints@health.mo.gov or by completing a complaint form at the link above.

The recall includes more than 300 units of the affected product.
