LANE COUNTY, Ore. – Last week, investigators with the Lane County Sheriff’s Office served search warrants at several sites of alleged illegal marijuana grows as well as a planned dispensary site, according to the Lane County Sheriff’s Office.
LCSO officials said that search warrants were served on April 3 on a Lowell greenhouse and home, four warehouses in Springfield, Eugene, and Cottage Grove, and a planned dispensary on Main Street in Springfield. The investigation was spurred by a discovery by the Oregon Liquor and Cannabis Commission of the business Agricola operating far outside of its legal requirements, authorities said. Sheriff’s officials said that criteria of violations included plant tracking, product location, and growing at unlicensed locations. Some locations were licensed but not following legal operational requirements, the sheriff’s office said. Authorities said that the Lane County Code Compliance Program and Oregon Watermaster will be following up on site code violations on the properties. While serving the search warrants, detectives seized 10,700 plants along with several hundred pounds of processed marijuana and marijuana products, sheriff’s officials said. Authorities said that several people were contacted during the investigation and their charges will be referred to the Lane County District Attorney’s Office for consideration.
Also assisting the LCSO on the case were the Douglas Interagency Narcotics Team, and Drug Enforcement Administration. The case is under continued investigation and anyone with additional information is asked to contact LCSO officials at 541-682-4141, referencing case number 25-1547.
