BELGRADE, Maine — Authorities seized and destroyed hundreds of illegal marijuana plants Friday morning at a home in Belgrade, according to the Kennebec County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies executed a search warrant around 9 a.m. at 750 Oakland Rd. with assistance from the Maine Office of Cannabis Policy following a report of an illegal growing operation, the sheriff’s office said in a news release.
More than 700 marijuana plants were reportedly seized and destroyed.
No one has been charged, and the investigation is ongoing, the sheriff’s office said.
