NILES TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WNDU) – The retail cannabis license applications keep on coming in Niles Township, and one retailer is looking to set up shop at a popular amusement center near the state line.
A total of 19 applications have now been filed for licenses to sell marijuana in the township, which is up from nine about a month ago.
This comes after the township voted to allow cannabis sales along a mile and a half strip of S. 11th Street just north of the Indiana state line.
An outfit called Green Wolverine wants to set up shop on the current site of Hacker’s Golf and Games.
Niles Ventures and Levels of Niles Twp. 2 are both seeking to do business on the current site of Joey Armadillos.
License applications have also been received for a couple of properties right on the state line that now house Jeannie’s House Diner and Murdock’s Auto Sales.
