An Oregon man was recently arrested after a Bismarck traffic stop for allegedly having more than 90 pounds of marijuana, nearly three dozen THC vape cartridges and several firearms.

Scott Gaffin, 50, of Prospect, was charged with one count of possession with intent to deliver marijuana while in possession of a firearm, which carries up to 10 years in prison.

He was arrested Friday after an Interstate 94 traffic stop brought on by the windshield of his vehicle being broken and potentially impairing his vision, according to the North Dakota Highway Patrol.

Gaffin reportedly consented to a search of his vehicle during the stop, during which he also received a warning citation for the broken windshield.

The search revealed an undisclosed number of marijuana cigarettes inside a waterproof matchbox, which led to Gaffin’s arrest, according to the affidavit. After the arrest, the vehicle was searched further, and authorities found an undisclosed amount of marijuana in two boxes on the back seat, the affidavit states. A more thorough search turned up two duffel bags containing additional marijuana, THC vape cartridges and three guns, according to the affidavit.
