HANCOCK COUNTY, Miss. (WLOX) – Officials with the Mississippi Department of Public Safety seized more than 200 pounds of marijuana and other drugs from a box truck on Wednesday.
The Commercial Transportation Enforcement Division (CTED) worked with the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office to make the seizure, which happened in the eastbound lanes of 1-10 in Hancock County.

According to authorities, approximately 205 pounds of marijuana, 560 units of THC products, 6 pounds of edibles, and 150 units of mushroom products were found in a two-axle box truck.
In a social media post, the Department of Public Safety said, “This seizure reflects CTED’s ongoing commitment to protecting Mississippi roadways and combating the illegal transportation of narcotics through our state.”
