REYNOLDSVILLE — A Jefferson County man is facing several drug charges after police seized cocaine, fentanyl and other drugs from a Stevenson Hill Road residence in December 2024.

State police in DuBois have charged Andrew Robert Bowser, 34, of Reynoldsville, with one felony count of the manufacture, delivery or possession with intent to manufacture or deliver; six counts of possession of a controlled substance and 13 counts of the use/possession of drug paraphernalia, each misdemeanors, according to a criminal complaint filed at Magisterial District Judge David Inzana’s office May 8.

According to the affidavit of probable cause, on Dec. 15, 2024, state police in DuBois were informed of a reported drug overdose at a Stevenson Hill Road residence in Jefferson County. Bowser reportedly overdosed on suspected fentanyl in the basement of his residence. Troopers seized a black box containing vials of powder and crystal substance from the basement of the residence. Police went to Penn Highlands DuBois to interview Bowser.

During this interview, Bowser related that he had taken the drugs from his friend’s house after he had died of a drug overdose. His friend’s death was confirmed by the Clearfield County coroner. He said he took the drugs out of the residence so his friend’s girlfriend would not get in trouble, or so his friends didn’t take the drugs without knowing what they were. Bowser then said they tried to get everything out of his friend’s residence to “try and make money for his girlfriend,” according to the affidavit of probable cause. Bowser said that his friend had allegedly driven him to New York and Pittsburgh to purchase drugs.

Bowser told police at this time, all of the drugs were at his house and there were more drugs than the black box that police originally seized, according to the affidavit of probable cause, including a tote of 1-1 1/2 pounds of marijuana; drug making supplies and materials to include a pill press, “molly,” a mixture of white powders that could be cocaine or fentanyl, seeds to grow marijuana, and possibly other unknown drugs. He said they were in the basement behind a garbage can, couch and in a gray drawer beside the computer chair.

On Dec. 15, 2024, police were granted a search warrant for Bowser’s basement, where several items were seized: a black pill press; several bags and canisters of marijuana; a purple tote; three boxes of marijuana seeds; a black box containing empty vials; a white bottle with suspected psilocybin mushrooms and marijuana; a white bottle containing suspected cutting/white powder; a yellow envelope with syringes; a black package of syringes and vapes; white and purple capsules; two digital scales; two black bottles of liquid THC; a brown paper bag with white substance/powder; a bag of packaging materials; a grinder with marijuana residue; a white straw; a plastic bag with an unknown white substance; a clear plastic bag of methamphetamine; THC wax; a clear plastic bag of suspected MDMA (ecstacy); a clear plastic bag of psilocybin mushrooms; a rubber canister with methamphetamine; a backpack; blue pill press; LG cell phone; and silver package of mesh bags.

The Erie Regional Laboratory, on Jan. 22, 2025, confirmed the following controlled substances: a bag of 1.09 grams of cocaine; a bag with 1.32 grams of xylazine, fentanyl and fluorofentanyl; .47 grams of cocaine; cocaine residue; bags of .26 grams of cocaine and three bags with .98 grams of cocaine, according the affidavit of probable cause. In addition, the lab confirmed that the plastic bag of suspected methamphetamine was confirmed to be .72 grams of methamphetamine, and the clear plastic bag of suspected MDMA was 14.47 grams of MDMA. The rubber canister containing suspected methamphetamine was confirmed be .53 grams of methamphetamine.

A preliminary hearing date for Bowser has not been set yet, according to court documents.
