Silver Cannabis Company, part of Silver Therapeutics, has opened its third New York dispensary in Lake George at the outlets on Route 9. The dispensary, the first in Lake George, will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Tuesday, June 24, at 11:00 a.m. A Grand Opening celebration, with pop-ups from local businesses, will be held on Friday, June 27, beginning at 10 a.m.
In a June press release, Silver Therapeutics co-founder Joshua Silver says, “This store is more than a business venture—it’s a homecoming. We’re incredibly proud to bring a thoughtful cannabis retail experience to a place that means so much to our team and families.” Silver grew up in Albany and spent his summers in Bolton Landing. The store’s license holder, Charlene Wood, is the daughter of the late Charles Wood, a celebrated Lake George entrepreneur and philanthropist.
According to the company, the Lake George Silver Cannabis dispensary is staffed primarily by local hires and is designed to serve both residents and tourists. “The team is committed to tailoring inventory to reflect community preferences. Customers can expect a wide variety of high-quality cannabis products, including flower, edibles, pre-rolls, and vapes, with a curated selection of New York brands and products.”
Silver Therapeutics COO and Co-Founder Brendan McKee says, “Our goal is to be a valuable neighbor and partner in this vibrant community.” To this end, the company has been sponsoring weekly karaoke nights at Jamo’s Pub, participating in Northway Brewing events and collaborating with the Lake George Regional Chamber of Commerce.
Silver Cannabis Company is at 1471 Route 9, Unit 3, in Lake George. The dispensary is open 10 a.m.-8 p.m. daily.
