A police patrol stopped the uninsured Vauxhall Vivaro on Runcorn Road at around 11.30am on Wednesday, June 4.
They arrested two men, aged 38 and 44, on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class B drugs after seizing two blocks of cannabis resin at the scene.
Then they arrested one woman aged 32 on suspicion of production of Class B drugs after searching a property with links to the two men in Speke, Merseyside.
A Cheshire Police spokesperson said there was a cannabis farm in the loft of the property on Western Avenue as well as evidence of the abstraction of electricity.
Inspector Paul Heatley, of Cheshire Police, said: “This is another fantastic result which has led to the removal of a large quantity of illegal drugs from the streets of Northwich.
“While this investigation is in the early stages, I hope that these arrests provide reassurance for residents in the area and the wider community.
“I want to reassure the public we are doing all we can to crackdown on those who bring misery to our communities, helping to ensure Cheshire remains a hostile environment for those intent on committing crime.”
