Two men have been found guilty for selling cannabis-laced edibles — packaged to look like Oreos, Sour Patch Kids and Chips Ahoy — outside a Vancouver SkyTrain station.

In November 2023, Transit Police noticed several men outside of Vancouver’s Main Street-Science World Station and witnessed what appeared to be “hand to hand drug interactions.”

The men were arrested and searched by police. Officers seized about six kilograms of weed and other cannabis products, 72 packs of contraband cigarettes, 1.1 grams of fentanyl, 1.4 grams of hydromorphone, 125 grams of psilocybin, 364 grams of hashish, and about $2,000 in cash.

On Wednesday, police announced Stephen McLellan, a 44-year-old Maple Ridge resident, had pleaded guilty to possession for the purpose of selling cannabis, while Jayson Hoang, a 34-year-old Abbotsford man was found guilty of possession for the purpose of selling cannabis.
