Detectives investigating the supply of drugs on the Essex border found a huge amount of illegal substances, weapons and cash when raiding a property. Officers from the Metropolitan Police and authorities in the Netherlands worked collaboratively in the investigation.

A man, 27, was arrested on Thursday (April 18) at a residential address in Waltham Abbey as part of the probe. A search of the home led to the recovery of two revolvers, ammunition, a kilo of MDMA, three kilogrammes of cannabis skunk, numerous packets of edibles, a quantity of cannabis hash and approximately £30,000 in cash.

The man appeared at Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court on April 19 charged with offences including conspiracy to supply drugs and possession of firearms. He was remanded in custody.
