EAST BRADY BOROUGH, Pa. (EYT) — A local man is facing disorderly conduct and related charges after he reportedly handed over a burnt marijuana cigarette to a state police trooper during a traffic stop in East Brady.

According to court documents, Punxsutawney-based State Police filed the following criminal charges against 55-year-old Frederick Anders Rosengren Jr., of East Brady, in District Judge Jeffrey C. Miller’s office on March 26:

According to a complaint released on April 23, PSP Punxsutawney conducted a traffic stop on a white Ford Ranger that was displaying an expired PA inspection sticker on an alley in the vicinity of the 300 Block of McClaine Drive, in East Brady Borough, Clarion County, around 10:48 a.m. on February 27.

The operator identified himself as Frederick Anders Rosengren Jr., who provided an unsigned PA registration card and an insurance card that was expired, the complaint states.

During initial interaction with Rosengren, Trooper Sean Jenary detected a strong odor of marijuana emanating from inside the vehicle. Rosengren was asked about the smell and he subsequently handed over a suspected marijuana cigarette that was burnt, the complaint indicates.

Rosengren stated he wasn’t a current PA Medical Marijuana card holder. He also acknowledged that he was aware of the inspection being out, according to the complaint.

Reosengren faces a preliminary hearing on May 20, at 9:45 a.m. with Judge Miller presiding.
