SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — South Dakotans for Better Marijuana Laws (SDBML) is hosting petition signings for a ballot initiative to get recreational marijuana on the ballot in 2024 at 66 locations across the state on April 20, a day held in esteem by marijuana enthusiasts as 4/20.

“When you exercise your right to sign the legalization petition, you are embodying the principles of personal freedom and civic awareness that lie at the heart of 420,” said Matt Schweich, campaign director for SDBML, adding that the group looks to fix broken laws and respect individual liberty.
