The Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office says the eradicated plants have an estimated street value of $267,500 to $535,000.

CALAVERAS COUNTY, Calif. — The Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at a home in Valley Springs Friday and say they uncovered an illegal marijuana cultivation operation with eradicated plants having an estimated street value of $267,500 to $535,000.

“In addition to the illicit cultivation, authorities noted excessive amounts of mold throughout the premises, posing significant health risks to occupants,” law enforcement said in a Facebook post.

Over 500 marijuana plants were found on the residential property spanning both the house and garage.

“The discovery of mold stresses the potential health hazards associated with unregulated marijuana cultivation,” law enforcement said. “Mold exposure can lead to respiratory issues, allergic reactions and other serious health concerns, particularly in indoor environments.”

The investigation into the marijuana farm remains ongoing.
