OKLAHOMA CITY (KOKH) — On Thursday morning, Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics (OBN) agents responded to a fire at a marijuana business in Logan County.

Officials said the business did not have an active OBN registration or a certificate of occupancy showing the company met the fire code.

OBN spokesperson Mark Woodward said, “We have responded to numerous fires and explosions at marijuana businesses over the past several years. Many of these fires are the result of wiring or chemical storage that would never have passed a fire inspection. These structures are not only a hazard for employees and customers and first responders having to work these cases.”

According to OBN, arrests and charges are expected.

The investigation is ongoing.
