YUBA COUNTY, Calif. – Yuba County deputies located nearly 3,000 marijuana plans in four separate structures after they said they served a search warrant in the 7500 block of Redhill Way in Browns Valley.

On Wednesday, members of the Marijuana Eradication Team of Yuba County executed the search warrant, which led to the arrest of Nicholas Bird, 42.

Then deputies said they searched the residence and uncovered four assault rifles, one short-barreled rifle, three handguns, hundreds of rounds of ammunition, high-capacity magazines and body armor.

Deputies said they also found packaged marijuana ready for sale, an extremely large quantity of psilocybin mushrooms, and $28,000 cash. Bird’s previous felony conviction made it illegal to possess firearms and ammunition.

Bird was taken into custody without incident and booked at the Yuba County Jail for cultivation of marijuana, possession of marijuana for sale, possession of psilocybin mushrooms for sale, felon in possession of firearms and ammunition, being armed while committing a felony and maintaining a drug house.
